Why treat acne scars?

Acne scar treatment is recommended for Physical, Emotional and social reasons. It improves the appearance and enhances self-esteem. Not only that but it promotes better skin health. And if untreated, acne scars often become more noticeable because our skin loses collagen as we age.

I am still breaking out. Can I start my acne scar treatment?

Before getting treatment for acne scars, it is important to clear your acne. New acne breakouts can lead to new acne scars. Having acne also means that your skin is inflamed. Inflammation reduces the effectiveness of treatment for acne scars.

Can acne scars be fully removed and I can get back to my normal skin?

What are the different types of acne scars?

What is chemical peel and how does it work?

The chemical solution in the chemical peel help in removing the outer affected layer of the old skin. The new skin that replaces it is clearer, smoother and healthier and less irregular in texture than the older skin. It is useful for macular scars or very superficial scars

What is CROSS Treatment?

CROSS stands for Chemical Reconstruction of skin scars. In this procedure we apply chemical focally on atrophic acne scars to first induce inflammation, which later lead to reduction in appearance of scars and improvement cosmetically. It is usually done for ice pick scars

What is micro needling, is it same as Secret Microneedle RF?

Micro needling is a procedure in which there is collagen stimulation which has been found to be effective in atrophic scar treatment. It is different from the Secret Microneedle RF, as this is based on radio frequency (RF) micro needling, as its name suggests. It causes hemostasis and coagulation which is designed to stimulate and remodel collagen and help in scar healing, also used to improve atrophic scars.

How many sessions are usually required?

The number of sessions required depends on the severity of acne scars. Usually 5-6 sessions are minimum required.

How much downtime is there?

The downtime for peels, microneedling and PRP is 1-2 days, while for CROSS and Subcision downtime can be 4-5 days
